Can I Leave the Upload Page When It Starts Processing?

Hey all, and so ane thing I run across a lot is people (mainly new to YouTube) maxim that there videos take forever to upload and process, so they're saturday there waiting for it to finish before they tin shutdown exercise other things. And so I thought I would make this mail to inform those who remember this way.

When yous start uploading, the video is being sent to the YouTubes servers and your calculator (or other device if y'all're using a tablet or telephone) volition need to be turned on and connected to the internet during this time but once the video starts processing there is no longer whatever data for that video going from your computer to the servers meaning you're free to close down the calculator or even merely close the tab and motility onto other things.

So basically once you run across this....

...you can close everything down and move on with your day, there is no need to expect for the processing bar to compete.

NOTE: Information technology has been suggested to wait till the processing is at at least ane% before closing anything, personally non experienced any issue closing earlier 1% but for safety with your own videos information technology may be worth that few seconds of extra wait time.

When I upload my routine is equally follows, I start the upload and enter all the relevant information (tags, description, championship), I and so upload the thumbnail that I've made for that video, set up the ads upwards if I want ads on the video and then press Relieve Changes, now this is done and looks a bit similar this:

At present its just a case of waiting for the video to stop uploading and one time it is I tin shut downward the PC or close the tab.

I promise this helps someone out, as I say, I've seen a lot of channels (non just new ones) waiting for videos to stop processing earlier they close the PC down or shut the tab.

Sometimes I shut the browser within a second equally the video is uploaded, and so the processing takes forever, until I reupload again, and it will start processing directly. Endeavor to re upload and don't shut the browser until the processing has started at least i%.

I've never experience any bug myself with closing the browser earlier 1% merely just in instance others do i've edited the mail service to reflect your experiences.

A surprising corporeality of people dont know, I accept a friend who's got over 100,00 subs and but recently I find out he was still waiting for the processing to end before closing things, so its not only noobs that practice it

I only found out well-nigh it myself when I was uploading a video and my power went out at the processing point effectually 45%, after going to the shops to height-up my electric meter and coming back I was surprised to encounter the video had finished processing so I started running tests to come across when closing the tab it didn't matter anymore.
